- Born in November 15th, 1966, in Buenos Aires city, Argentina.

- Studied at both state and private schools of its natal city and in 1987 enters Buenos Aires University, Architect and Urbanism Faculty.

- Continued in the career of Graphic Designer and at the same time gets interested in the pictorial technique and expression. He attends classes in ateliers where he studies painting, monography and engraving.

- From 1989 to 1993, to pay his studies, started working freelance designing backgrounds and scenography of great dimensions for photographic studios and television, investigating and developing techniques which he will apply afterwards in his work.

- In 1991 obtains his degree as a Graphic Designer. He emphasizes in tools of design by organizer and cooperates with different studios of design and advertising as a visual expert firstly and then as art director.

- From 1996 onwards he starts a period as freelance designer, establishes his own studio in which he continues his commercial activity: Get Picture Design and Advertising. (see)

- In 1997 starts working in the representation series which appear in the web page continuing non-stop his development in plastic activity.

- At the beginning of 1998 becomes a member of the staff at "Nueva Escuela de Arte y Comunicación" in Buenos Aires, where he teaches graphic publicity and art history of the twentieth century.

H i s   w o r k:
Leonardo Lezcano's graphic tuition taints his work of a deliberately synthetical intention in which one can perceive, however, a strong influence of abstract expressionism enriched with shades of pop art.

V. Kandinsky, P. Klee y M. Rothko are some of the artists who vividly impressed the author's personality that together with movements as cubism and constructivism let us see its print in the work developed up to now. One of the most particular treats of the work, evidenced in the exposed series, maybe the overwhelming the African primitive art which reinforces Leonardo Lezcano's pristine and intuitive visual synthesis which keeps in its economy the strength of the plastic gesture at its higher level.

A deep study of colour allows attractive compositions where equilibrium and chromatic treatment reveal as more than interesting, taking us to a world of primitive roughness where rustic lives with synthetic.

"I intend that my pictures comply with an aesthetics and functional feature. I like them exhibited at home, a restaurant or an office and that whoever looks at them, no matter if understanding or not, has a pleasant sensation to the eyes and a good attitude to grasp what is stared".
